Yes The Great One has a new hobby to add to his list. He now makes dvd productions. Its a nice way for me to be creative.

Here's what I use:

Canopus ADVC-100

And my vcr and video camera. Which ever I'm using to play the video I'm putting to dvd.

Connection:

The vcr is the main brain for the video input. I hook up my video camera to the vcr. The vcr is then hooked up to my Canopus. And the Canopus is hooked up to the computer. I can also get stuff from tv since the cable is also hooked up to the vcr.

Once I capture my video source to the computer, I use Vegas Video 4 to edit the video. I can edit sections out, add intros and credits. Basically anything. If I need to fix the audio I use Sound Forge. I can really tune up the audi with this program. Then once I edit the video to my pleaseng, I save it as an mpeg-2 format. Then I begin to make the dvd using DVD Architect. You can do everything with this program. Motion menues, intro video, photo slide shows, etc. Anything you seen on the pro dvds you can do using this program. It is fantastic!
